I’m tempted to start Mohammed Kudus in every game – David Moyes

Mohammed Kudus

The club manager for the English Side West Ham United, David Moyes has stated that he is tempted to start their latest signee Mohammed Kudus in every EPL match.

His remarks come after Sunday’s 4 -1 defeat against Aston Villa.

The Hammers faced a major setback in their season, suffering their first significant defeat as Villa secured their 11th consecutive home league win with goals from Ollie Watkins, Leon Bailey, and a double by Douglas Luiz.

West Ham showed a glimmer of hope for a second-half comeback when Jarrod Bowen’s deflected strike narrowed the deficit to 2-1. However, despite this brief resurgence, they struggled to pose a real threat to Emiliano Martinez guarding Villa’s goal.

Kudus, who has showcased his talent in cup competitions and impactful cameos, including scoring an equalizer against Newcastle, found himself again on the bench, awaiting his first Premier League start under David Moyes.

“I’m tempted to start Kudus every game,” Moyes said as quoted by the standard.co.uk. “But I must be fair and say that the team’s played quite well. We’ve got a balance that we’re trying to find and get that right as well.

“Sometimes our balance has been very good and got us some good results. Now and again sometimes it can cause you problems as well,” he added.

Kudus, despite the lack of game in the Premier League, has been impressive in the Europa League, scoring two goals.

The 23-year-old has made 9 appearances in all competitions for West Ham.

West Ham United will be hosted by Olympiacos in the Europa League on Thursday before hosting Everton in the Premier League at the London Olympic Stadium.
