A Ghanaian TikTok couple, Daniel Chayah (known as Godpapa The Greatest) and his wife Jocelyn Chayah (known as Empress Lupita), have been placed in police custody by the TDC Magistrate Court due to the death of their two children. They are scheduled to appear in court again on June 15, 2023.
It is alleged that the couple killed two out of their three children. The police apprehended them a few days ago and brought them before the TDC Magistrate Court on Wednesday, May 31, 2023. Media access to the courtroom was denied by court warrant officers, and the police prosecutor declined to speak to the media after the proceedings.

The couple, who are believed to be mentally ill and in need of medical assistance, are suspected of having killed their two children and burying them. The youngest child reportedly fled the home and shared some of his experiences under his parents’ care before leaving.
Prior to their arrest, the couple gained popularity on TikTok, where they went by the names Godpapa The Greatest and Empress Lupita.
In one media interview, they claimed to have sacrificed one of their children because they believed he was possessed by an evil spirit and would engage in criminal activities when he grew up. The couple had been sharing their home experiences on social media before being arrested by the police last week.
