Some unpaid staff of EIB hint to sabotage Dr Duffour's presidential ambitions

Employees of EIB Network are reportedly upset that Dr Kwabena Duffuor, the owner of the business, is running for the flagbearer position of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

Dr. Duffuor, a former Governor of the Bank of Ghana, announced his candidacy on Wednesday, putting him in competition with former President John Dramani Mahama and other hopefuls for the party’s nomination ahead of the 2024 elections. Nominations for Presidential and Parliamentary candidates for the 2024 general elections were opened by the NDC today.

The presidential aspirant said on his Facebook page “I am happy to announce that tomorrow I will pick forms at 9 am, to contest to be the next NDC Flagbearer by the Grace of the Almighty God. To all Comrades who have lost hope, I say to you today, that HOPE is HERE! The journey to rescue and reposition the NDC for VICTORY 2024 begins!”.

According to reports, the employees of a media conglomerate have been instructed by management to give extensive coverage to Dr. Kwabena Duffuor as he picks up his nomination forms at the NDC Headquarters. However, some staff members who have not received salaries for over 15 months are unhappy with this directive.

They question why they should support Dr. Duffuor’s campaign while they struggle to make ends meet. Some staff members have hinted that they may protest against his candidacy if their arrears are not paid by management. The pressure from their families is mounting, and they feel they cannot support a candidate who does not prioritize their welfare
