Popular Ghanaian radio personality, Kwami Sefa Kayi, has responded to recent comments made by gospel musician Sonnie Badu about the spiritual implications of consuming pork.
In a recent social media post, Badu claimed that pork is “one of the most dangerous meat” and that it is “full of worms and toxins” which can possess individuals who consume it. He went on to urge his followers to stop eating pork and instead turn to more “clean” meats like chicken and fish.

However, Sefa Kayi, who is known for his love of pork, has fired back at the claims, stating that if it is true that pork is possessed, then he must be full of demons.
Speaking on his popular radio show, “Kokrokoo”, Sefa Kayi said, “I have been eating pork all my life and I am not possessed by any demons. If Sonnie Badu’s claim is true, then I must be full of demons. But we know that’s not the case. Pork is a delicious and nutritious meat, and I will continue to enjoy it.”
Sefa Kayi’s comments have sparked a heated debate on social media, with some supporting his stance and others criticizing him for disregarding the spiritual implications of consuming certain foods.
Meanwhile, Sonnie Badu has responded to the backlash, stating that he stands by his comments and that he is only trying to promote healthier eating habits among his followers.

In a post on his Instagram page, he wrote, “I stand by my message on pork. We need to take care of our bodies, which are the temples of the Holy Spirit. Eating clean and healthy is not only good for our physical health but also our spiritual health.”
The debate on the consumption of pork and its spiritual implications is likely to continue, with both sides holding strong opinions on the matter.
