The woes of the Inspector General for the Ghana police service Dr Akuffo Dampare seem to be piling up by the day. Information reaching lifetipster.com is that Forty (40) police chief inspectors have sued the IGP.

According to the police officers, they have been denied promotion by the service despite a special amnesty grant for officers who obtained degrees before 2020.
In a writ filed at a high court in Kumasi, the officers stated that they had been excluded from an ongoing series of promotions even though they qualified.
They bemoaned their denial to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police despite having served between 25 to 30 years.
According to the 40 officers the police administration had promoted their junior colleagues under the same amnesty.
The plaintiffs demanded their immediate promotion to the rank due, to be given access to the Police Academy and be reimbursed for their income loss.
