The Basic Education Certificate Exams start today and already there has been a reported leak of questions on social media. The external exams for this year, 2023 have seen about 600,000 candidates fight for a spot in their preferred secondary school.
Leakage of exam questions during this period has become something of a norm as it happens almost every year. The two papers alleged to have leaked so far are RME and English Language, The two papers of the day.

The West African Examination Council (WAEC) every year apprehends culprits involved in the leaking of exam questions, The Examination Body has been making huge investments in preventing examination malpractices every year but it appears no progress is being made so far.
WAEC is yet to comment on the situation. We will update readers as and when they do.
