Sanitation Minister’s missing $1 million and €300K makes Ghanaians question why she has such an amount in her house.

Social media has been thrown in a frenzy ever since news broke out that Cecilia Dapaah’s house helps have made away with the Sanitation Minister’s 1 million USD and 300,000 euros.

The theft happened in her home and the incident has been reported to the police. The two ladies aged 18 and 30 were alleged to have stolen a huge amount of money to acquire properties for themselves including other valuable items belonging to the minister and her husband.

The Chronicle Newspaper reports that the two suspects are currently on trial at the Accra Circuit court for the theft case that happened between July and October 2022. Patience Botwe and Sarah Adjei are the two suspects.

While others are hoping to see justice served, a large portion of Ghanaians are somewhat pleased that the helps made away with the Minister’s possessions.

One important question has to do with why the Minster would be having such a huge amount of money in cash in her household.

Some have wondered if the money is dirty money or made through corrupt ways.
