Mahama promises to pay GH¢1000 monthly to Assembly Men

John Dramani Mahama has pledged to create the enabling economic environment needed to nurture skilled youth and equip them with the necessary entrepreneurial skills.

The former president made these pledges on the occasion of International Youth Day. He stated that he plans to ease the heavy taxes the Nana Addo government and the NPP have imposed on Ghanaians.

Mahama also promised to turn things around for the youth at a time when the unemployment rate is at an all-time high and the cost of living is unbearable for Ghanaians. He also bemoaned the non-availability of opportunities for the youth.

“For me, John Dramani Mahama, and the National Democratic Congress (NDC), we are committed to urgently turning this situation around by paving the way for nurturing a generation of skilled youth.

A new NDC administration will work urgently to equip our youth with the entrepreneurial knowledge and skills needed for a sustainable future. We will introduce a 24-hour economy with incentives and tax breaks for manufacturers who will run extra shifts to create more room for employment.” He said during the International Youth Day Celebration.

The NDC flagbearer took the opportunity to celebrate the creativity and passion of Ghanaian youth.

“I celebrate the creativity, enterprise, and passion of Ghana’s youth. I want to use this occasion to highlight the importance of our young people as the driving force of positive change and innovation,”
