Gyakie postpones European Tour Over Health Issues.

Talented Ghanaian artist, Gyakie announced on the 18th of May that her Europe and UK tour in Manchester which was expected to commence this month has been cancelled due to health-related reasons.

The songbird announced on her Instagram page that despite all her efforts to recover and get to entertain her fans, she is still not in the best state to perform.

“Fighting everything to get better for my shows this week but I can’t fight myself no matter how hard I try hate to postpone but all purchased tickets are valid for the new dates which will be communicated in no time.

However, I hope to be fit enough to see yall at the festivals I’ll be performing at”

Gyakie had planned a four-city tour in support of her latest album, “My Diary,” which was released last summer. The tour was scheduled to begin on May 19 at Gorilla in Manchester, followed by performances at LaFayette in London, O2 Institute in Birmingham, and concluding in Paris on May 26th.

Earlier this month, Gyakie showcased her talent with a medley performance at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards. She received nominations in five categories: Album/EP of the Year (for “My Diary”), Record of the Year (for “Far Away”), Best Afrobeats Song (for “Something”), Best Afrobeats/Afrobeats Act, and Vodafone Most Popular Song of the Year (for “Something”). Gyakie was honored with the Record of the Year award.
