The Electricity Company of Ghana and the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) offices in Cape Coat have been closed down by the Cape Coast Metro Assembly over the non-payment of property rates.
According to the Metro Assembly, the two institutions have defaulted in the payment of property rates and business operating permits since 2021.
Two essential service institutions in Cape Coast have been locked up by authorities on Monday, February 13, 2023, for owing an amount of GH₵140,000.
